Over the years I have been asked to photograph actors' headshots for auditions and castings. My aim with these photographs is to help you get more work and create interest in what you can do. As with all my headshots and portraits, it’s important to me that you feel confident and comfortable with the process.
The session will be preceded by a consultation so I can better understand your character and how the images will be used. We’ll also discuss clothing, headshot styles and the the general approach to your portrait shoot.
This means that you will be delighted with the photographs. In fact I guarantee it – please ask for details.
Both studio headshot photography and natural light images, indoor and outside (weather permitting) are included with our actors' headshots packages as it is nice to have a variety of looks that you can choose from. Portrait lighting is carefully tailored to your facial structure which helps to bring out your character and personality.
Too many headshot photographers simply ‘illuminate’ their subjects rather than lighting them. Our tailored approach means that your portrait session will bring out character in your photographs which makes a better impression on casting agents, entertainment industry contacts and clients.
The actors' headshot sessions take place at our studio near Reading in Berkshire, a few minutes off junction 11 of the M4. Location headshot sessions can of course be organised. Images are processed and tweaked to look great and are supplied with complete reproduction rights for web and print.
Great headshot photography for actors is a really important investment. As the old saying goes, you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. I take pride in creating images that will catch the eye of casting directors and help you stand out from the crowd.
